How Do You Find Your Purpose? + What's Your Vision?

I'm a self-proclaimed Visualist.

I learn better when I have a visual of things. When going out to eat dinner, I choose faster if there are photos of food on the menu. I can look at most things and draw it. For me, it's more of a colorful lifestyle when things are expressed visually.

But there's one thing I always seem to struggle with when it comes to this particular topic. My Life vision.

I'm sure you've heard a handful of times that you have to have a vision in life. You have to know your purpose.

AKA What the heck are you here on this earth for?

For me, I always started with a drawing board. I'd put my name in the center of the paper and spring out different traits, talents, and characteristics about myself. By doing this, I always found myself feeling like a spider with many extensions, but no true vision.

As I grow older, I am learning that a vision is not just about where you see yourself, but many other reasons. How you decide to get there. Why you want to eventually achieve this vision. The influences. What value are you adding? It's deeper than simply pinpointing one thing.

You have to turn your vision into reality. Believe that you are here for a purpose.

Even knowing this, it still seems difficult.

Ask yourself some questions to help you. We are all here for a purpose. We were gifted by God with specific skills that will help craft our path.

1. What's your passion?

2. Do you have any desires that constantly pull on your heart?

3. Some people love to help children, animals. What do you have a strong love for?

4. If you can be a part of a change in the world, where would you plant yourself?

5. Your best talent is needed to save/change the world, no matter what it is...What would that be?

6. What characteristics do you have that are designed to help push you forward?

The best way to find your purpose?

Purposely dive into things. If you don't know what you love to do, start doing different things--things you've never done before. It'll open your eyes to see what you're truly great at.

Set goals- Maybe a goal that you have is unattainable. Some goals we will never reach, but as long as we aim for it, we're going in the right direction.

Be Brave- The greatest thing stopping us from finding our vision and purpose is the fear of the vision itself. Don't fall short!!

I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes:

"The most pathetic person in the world is someone who has sight but no vision." -Helen Keller
